Juan Carlos González is a Mexican journalist with over 37 years of experience, widely recognized for his work as a national correspondent for Univision in the United States. Throughout his career, he has covered major news events and is a regular presence on programs such as Despierta América, Primer Impacto, and Univision’s National Newscast, in addition to contributing to the digital platform VIX, which broadcasts news 24 hours a day.

His media career began in 1988 on the radio in San Antonio, Texas, where he lived for several years. He later moved to Dallas, and in 1992, was relocated by a national news network to Los Angeles. Since then, he has worked as a national correspondent for Univision and Telemundo, and also served as a presenter on major radio stations such as KLVE and KTNQ. He was also a sports commentator for the Los Angeles Lakers and the Anaheim Angels through the FOX Sports network.

Juan Carlos is the author of the book ¿Por qué lo hiciste, hijo? (Why Did You Do It, Son?), a deeply personal work written after the tragic loss of his son, who passed away at the age of 19. This experience profoundly shaped his life and strengthened his commitment to raising awareness about mental health and supporting families in times of crisis.

His journalism career, which has taken him across various regions of the United States and other countries, has allowed him to interact with people from all walks of life—from political leaders, artists, and athletes to members of vulnerable communities. These experiences, along with his personal tragedy, have nurtured in him a unique sensitivity and a deep desire to serve the community.

Driven by that spirit of service, he decided to complement his journalism career by becoming an insurance agent, specializing in Medicare. This new role allows him to be even closer to the community, offering guidance and direct help to those who need it most.

I was born in Nicaragua. I emigrated to the United States at the age of 15, where I received my education.
I married my husband, with whom I’ve shared 53 years of marriage, and we had a beautiful daughter who has blessed us with two wonderful grandchildren.

I worked for 6 years at Bank of America and 36 years at the United States Postal Service, where I provided customer service and developed excellent customer care skills.
Over time, I became fluent in English, which makes me bilingual, as Spanish is my native language.

Upon retiring, I found a new calling that allows me to continue serving the community by helping seniors understand the MEDICARE system and enroll in the plan that best suits their needs.

Hello, my name is Remy Carlis.  I was born and raised in the Bay Area of California. I am a proud wife and mother of three grown children, and I am the founder of my own financial consulting business, RC Consulting Services, LLC.

I started my career as an electronics engineer designing and manufacturing products for Lawrence Livermore National Laboratories, Monster Cable Products, Bio-Rad Laboratories, and ICON Aircraft.  As I grew in my profession, I added accreditations to include Certified Quality Engineer and Certified Regulatory Specialist for Medical Devices and Recreational Air Crafts.  I’ve travelled the world designing products, but my passion is helping people.

In 2017, when the last of my children graduated, I got the courage to leave the corporate world and attempt to start my own business.   For the last eight years, I have been serving my community as a Tax Preparation Professional, a Health and Life Insurance Specialist, and a Notary Public for the state of California.

This year, I am blessed to partner with Mature Insurance Solutions, a company that allows my business to further expand services to our community through MediCare education and resources.  We’ve built a great team, and we look forward to serving you.
